Job summary

MercyOne is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for part-time night shift in Des Moines, IA. You will provide individualized nursing care to patients of all ages, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in admission, transfer, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities include delivering care under the Nurse Practice Act, adhering to Mercy Medical Center policies, and maintaining high standards of patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN license valid in Iowa.
• BLS certification obtained within 6 weeks of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training completed within 3 months of hire.
• English language reading/writing proficiency required.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Independently delivers nursing care using the Nurse Practice Act, Mercy Medical Center policies, nursing standards, ethical principles, and professional judgment. Works rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as scheduled. Job duties may vary by shift or may be unit-specific.

• Possession of a current or compact state license as a Registered Nurse issued/defined by the State of Iowa.
• Basic Life Support certified within six (6) weeks of hire. The acceptable credentialing body is the American Heart Association.
• Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to populations served within three (3) months of hire.
• Ability to read, write and speak English language.
