Applicants must have a 2-year culinary apprenticeship or culinary associate degree, with knowledge of basic cooking techniques and the ability to work under supervision to deliver quality meals. Food handler’s card is required if currently held.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated knowledge of basic cooking techniques.
• Ability to prepare food from a recipe with minimum supervision and maintain sanitation standards.
• With supervision, produce the required quality and quantity of foods.

Responsibilities

• Prepares soups and sauces (cream, vegetable and clear soups and cream, brown and tomato sauces).
• Works broiler, sauté, banquet and pantry stations as necessary.
