Job summary

131 DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS seeks a Probation and Parole Officer for DOC Probation & Parole - Region I. This role manages a caseload of adult offenders, conducts criminogenic assessments, designs transition plans, and monitors adherence to conditions to improve public safety. Travel and transcripts may be required.

Three pay bands exist: Level I $48,044.52; Level II $50,834.80; Level III $54,700.76. Salary is non-negotiable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with core social science coursework.
• Experience with assessment, transition planning and criminogenic needs.
• Ability to document findings and present reports clearly.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of adult offenders and assess criminogenic risk/need.
• Design transition plans and refer to treatment or programs.
• Monitor offender compliance and assist with employment efforts.
• Conduct investigations and prepare activity reports for the releasing authority.
• Maintain records and support community supervision activities.
