Job summary

The Probation and Parole Officer position with the Oklahoma Department of Corrections is a full-time, on-site role within the DOC P&P Region I. The officer will manage caseloads of adult offenders, conduct assessments, and coordinate transition plans to reduce future criminal behavior.

Responsibilities

Manage a caseload of adult offenders using motivational interviewing to assess criminogenic needs and determine stage of change.
Refer offenders to appropriate treatment programs targeting primary criminogenic needs.
Monitor adherence to transition plans and conditions ordered by releasing authority.
Assist offenders in obtaining and maintaining employment and building pro-social networks.
Prepare reports concerning offender activities and provide recommendations to the releasing authority.
Maintain documentation, both physical and electronic, of offender caseload management.
