Job summary

Cass County in Walker, Minnesota seeks a Probation Supervisor responsible for supervising individuals placed on probation by the Court, completing adult and juvenile investigations, and applying evidence-based practices to promote offender change and public safety.

You will support administrative functions, ensure timely court reports, enforce departmental policies, document expenses and outcomes in CSTS, coordinate community placements, and liaise with schools and local agencies.

Qualifications

• Requires extensive knowledge of criminal and juvenile law, and correctional practices.
• Proficient in case management with focus on offender change.
• Ability to work independently and with diverse communities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise juveniles and adults on probation, including community contact.
• Complete Pre-Sentence Investigations, Pre-Dispositional Studies, and risk assessments (YLS, DRA, LS-CMI).
• Maintain CSTS data and ensure timely court reports and documentation of expenses and outcomes.
• Provide liaison support to foster homes and community resources; coordinate placements as needed.
