Job summary

Swagelok Northern California is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to support order timelines, expediting at-risk shipments, and maintain delivery and supplier data. This on-site role reports to Controller & Supply Chain Manager at our Fremont location.

Responsibilities include PO acknowledgment within 2 business days, pulling-in orders, tracking broken promises, setting up new parts and suppliers, and maintaining data governance to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Proactive follow-through to identify at-risk orders and expedite when needed.
• Maintains accurate, current records for parts, suppliers, and data.
• Follows up with suppliers on acknowledgments and delivery commitments.
• Prioritizes tasks and meets deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborates with Buyers, Planners, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Uses SAP Business One and Excel for tracking orders and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Identify orders to pull-in ahead of need date and initiate pull-ins.
• Initiate full service expedites for orders with broken delivery promises.
• Record and track broken promises and resolution status.
• Maintain complete expedite data for governance and reporting.
• Set up new parts and suppliers in the system with supervisor review.
• Obtain supplier acknowledgments within 2 business days of PO issuance.
• Follow up on acknowledgments and adjust when delivery dates change.
• Monitor past-due POs and escalate issues to minimize delivery risk.
