Job summary

Midwest Refrigerated Services is seeking a Site Maintenance Technician for our Cedar Rapids, IA facility. The role requires hands-on maintenance of warehouse equipment and building systems, with 100% on-site work and some travel as needed.

The SMT will manage daily maintenance, perform inspections, coordinate vendors, and uphold safety and food safety standards while documenting work orders and asset data.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hands-on commercial, industrial, warehouse, or facilities maintenance experience.
• Must be able to read and interpret electrical diagrams and manuals.
• Ability to travel when assigned and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary maintenance resource for the facility and independently manage daily maintenance needs.
• Plan and prioritize work based on safety, operational impact, and preventive maintenance due dates.
• Inspect, diagnose, and perform durable repairs; test operation and verify completion.
• Coordinate site access, oversee vendor work, and maintain accurate work orders.
• Maintain tools, parts, and supplies while controlling costs.
