Job summary

Midwest Refrigerated Services, Inc. is seeking a Site Maintenance Technician for our Cedar Rapids facility.

The role focuses on independently managing daily maintenance, performing electrical, mechanical, and building system repairs, and coordinating vendor work in a 100% on-site environment. The SMT will maintain accurate work orders, monitor preventive maintenance, and ensure safety, food safety, and cost control across operations, reporting to the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of hands-on commercial, industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or facilities maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily maintenance needs with limited supervision.
• Plan and prioritize work based on safety, downtime, and preventive maintenance due dates.
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment and building systems; test operation and verify completion.
• Coordinate vendor work, obtain quotes, define scopes, and ensure completion.
• Maintain tools, parts, and supplies; monitor costs and asset data; uphold safety and company policies.
