Job summary

Housing Trust Group seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform day-to-day maintenance at assigned multifamily communities in Florida. You will respond to resident requests, support make-ready work, groundskeeping, preventive maintenance, and assist with emergencies.

This hands-on role requires troubleshooting, safe work practices, and respectful communication with residents. Reports to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of maintenance experience in multifamily housing or related setting.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to read maintenance instructions, equipment manuals, and safety procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting, attention to detail, communication, and resident service skills.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests, perform repairs, and complete work orders.
• Assist with vacant unit inspections, make ready work, and groundskeeping.
• Support emergency responses, on-call rotation, and safety protocols.
• Operate and care for maintenance tools and equipment; ensure safe work practices.
• Document tasks and communicate needs to supervisors and residents.
