Sage-Haus is seeking a dedicated Household Manager and Family Assistant to support an active Alexandria family after school and into the evenings. The role focuses on organizing, meal prep, errands, and ensuring a calm, well-run home for two students and a pet dog.

You are proactive, reliable, and comfortable coordinating with vendors, managing calendars, and ensuring safe transportation. Flexible part-time hours reflect a busy family schedule and travel needs.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license with clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Comfortable around dogs (we have one large, friendly dog).

Responsabilités

• Afternoon school pickup and neighborhood carpool, adapting to sports schedules.
• Light supervision to help teens stay on task and focused after school.
• Errand support for school supplies, gifts, etc.
• Create and maintain household organization systems, kitchen focus.
• Daily resets and bed making; prep for weekly cleaners.
• Manage seasonal clothing swaps and holiday decorating; event prep as needed.
• Meal planning and dinner prep 3–4 times per week; grocery shopping; stock kitchen.
• Laundry: wash, fold, organize; linen rotation; ironing as needed.
• Manage household supply lists, restocking, and subscriptions; package handling.
• Dog care: feeding, walks 3 days/week; daycare pickup; vet/grooming scheduling; track meds.
• Calendar management via Skylight; assist with events and appointments; daily mail sorting.
• Deep cleaning tasks and major organizational projects (basement, home office, sitting room).
• Vehicle management: maintenance scheduling, registration tracking, fueling.
• Vendor and contractor oversight; coordinate repairs and quotes; seasonal property upkeep.
