Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services company, is recruiting a Cyber Threat Hunter to proactively defend enterprise environments. You will hunt across networks, endpoints, and security datasets, analyze logs, and establish baselines to detect anomalies before they impact operations.

You will collaborate with SOC and detection engineers, develop automation to streamline workflows, and research adversary TTPs to strengthen incident response and threat coverage across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4 years of cybersecurity or related technical security experience.
• Experience performing system administrator-level analysis across multiple platforms and OSes.
• Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies, evidence preservation practices, and cyber defense policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive threat hunting across networks, endpoints, and security datasets to identify, isolate, and help eradicate advanced threats before they impact operations.
• Analyze logs from multiple sources to detect suspicious behavior and validate threat activity.
• Establish and maintain baseline patterns for normal traffic and activity to improve anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts and detection engineers to recommend new alerts and monitoring logic.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline threat hunting and reduce response time.
• Research adversary TTPs and develop investigative leads based on threat intel.
• Support incident response by creating incident documentation and recommendations.
• Examine malware and threats to determine threat nature, scope and impact.
• Apply reverse engineering and binary analysis to support vulnerability research.
