Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, is seeking a Cyber Threat Hunter to proactively protect enterprise environments by analyzing network, endpoint, and log data to identify malicious activity. You will establish normal baselines, detect anomalies, and develop threat hypotheses to strengthen cyber defense and incident response operations.

You will collaborate with SOC analysts and detection engineers, create automation scripts, and track adversary TTPs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in cybersecurity or a closely related technical security role.
• Demonstrated ability to perform system administrator-level analysis across multiple platforms/OS in support of cyber investigations.
• Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies, evidence preservation practices, and cyber defense and information security policies.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive threat hunting across networks, endpoints, and security datasets to identify and help eradicate advanced threats.
• Analyze logs from multiple sources to detect suspicious behavior and validate threat activity.
• Establish and maintain baseline patterns for normal traffic and system activity to improve anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts and detection engineers to recommend new alerts and monitoring logic.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows to streamline threat hunting activities and reduce response time.
• Research adversary TTPs and develop investigative leads based on threat intelligence.
