Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or a closely related technical security role.
• System administrator-level analysis across multiple platforms and operating systems in support of cyber investigations.
• Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies and cyber defense policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct proactive threat hunting across networks, endpoints, and security datasets to identify, isolate, and eradicate advanced threats.
• Analyze logs from multiple sources, including packet captures, correlation engines, parsed security data, and endpoint telemetry.
• Establish and maintain baseline patterns for normal traffic and system activity to improve anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts and detection engineers to recommend new alerts, analytics, and monitoring logic.
• Develop automation scripts and workflows (SOAR platforms, Python, PowerShell) to streamline threat hunting tasks and reduce response time.
• Research adversary TTPs and develop hypotheses and investigative leads from threat intelligence observations.
• Support incident response by creating incident documentation, follow-up actions, and recommendations.
• Examine malware and cyber threats to determine threat nature, scope, and potential impact.
• Apply reverse engineering and binary analysis using Ghidra and IDA Pro to support research.
