Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company, seeks a Cyber Threat Hunter to proactively detect and mitigate advanced threats across networks, endpoints, and security data. You will establish baselines, analyze telemetry, and develop hypotheses to strengthen cyber defense and incident response.

You will collaborate with SOC analysts, create automation for threat hunting, study TTPs, and document findings to improve detection, response, and resilience across programs and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4 years of cybersecurity or related security role experience.
• Ability to perform system administrator-level analysis across multiple platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to track adversary TTPs and suspicious activity.
• Knowledge of intrusion detection methodologies and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Threat hunting across networks, endpoints, and security datasets to identify threats.
• Analyze logs from multiple sources to detect suspicious activity.
• Establish baselines for normal traffic and system activity to improve anomaly detection.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts to improve alerts, analytics, and monitoring logic.
• Develop automation scripts to streamline threat hunting and reduce response time.
• Research adversary TTPs and develop investigative leads based on threat intel.
• Support incident response with documentation and recommendations for maturity.
• Examine malware and threats to determine scope and impact.
