Job summary

George Dunne National Golf Club in Oak Forest, IL, seeks a part-time Pro Shop Attendant for a seasonal role lasting up to six months. The position involves processing reservations, assisting guests at check-in, and managing golf shop inventory, along with handling green/cart fees through the POS system.

Applicants should have strong communication skills, basic computer skills, and a good work ethic. Golf knowledge is a plus, and duties include both inside and outside staff responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course.
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in.
• Arrange and display golf shop inventory as necessary and directed.
• Collect green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and process in the POS system as trained.
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace.
• Reconcile cash and accounts receivable charges to the daily register at closing.
• Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily.
• Assist with set-up of equipment and golf carts.
• Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager.
• Welcome and greet guests as an Inside staff member, explain rules and course etiquette as needed.
• Maintain pace of play and assist with tee times and outings.

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$15.00 - $15.50 per hour

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

When acting as an \"Inside\" staff member :

Responsible for processing customer reservations for guests of the golf course

Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process

Arranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed

Collects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trained

Assists in maintaining a clean, safe workplace

When acting as an “Outside” staff member :

Responsible for welcoming and greeting of guests and players in a friendly manner

Explaining rules and course etiquette to all groups if needed

Wash and sanitize golf cart fleet, maintain organized storage areas and practice facility

Assist with the set-up and organization of the golf carts and equipment for any regular tee time starts or outing

Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play of groups to prevent delays

Answer all questions in a friendly manner. Keep a record of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessary

Ensure that each group has four players if possible

Responsible for the picking up and cleaning practice balls when scheduled

Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily

Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager
