Job summary

George Dunne National Golf Club in Oak Forest, IL, seeks a part-time Pro Shop Attendant for a seasonal role lasting up to 6 months. You will assist guests, handle reservations, manage shop inventory, and process payments at the POS under Troon’s guidance.

Responsibilities

• Process customer reservations for guests of the golf course
• Provide customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in
• Arrange and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed
• Collect green and cart fees and process in the POS system as trained
• Maintain a clean, safe workplace
• Reconcile cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at closing
• Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily
• Assist with set-up of equipment and golf carts
• Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager
• Welcome and greet guests; explain rules and etiquette when needed
• Wash and sanitize golf carts; maintain storage and practice areas
• Set up and organize carts and equipment for regular tee times and outings
• Facilitate pace of play and manage tee times when required
• Record starting times and cart numbers for groups
• Ensure groups have four players when possible
• Handle practice balls and secure facilities

We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:
Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Compensation:

$15.00 - $15.50 per hour

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

When acting as an "Inside" staff member :

Responsible for processing customer reservations for guests of the golf course

Provides customer service to arriving guests to help expedite check-in process

Arranges and displays golf shop inventory as necessary and directed

Collects green and cart fees (and other revenue) from guests and processes in the POS system as trained

Assists in maintaining a clean, safe workplace

Assists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day

Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily

Assist with set-up of equipment and golf carts

Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager

When acting as an “Outside” staff member :

Responsible for welcoming and greeting of guests and players in a friendly manner

Explaining rules and course etiquette to all groups if needed

Wash and sanitize golf cart fleet, maintain organized storage areas and practice facility

Assist with the set-up and organization of the golf carts and equipment for any regular tee time starts or outing

Facilitate orderly and timely pace of play of groups to prevent delays

Answer all questions in a friendly manner. Keep a record of starting times and golf cart numbers for each group when necessary

Ensure that each group has four players if possible

Responsible for the picking up and cleaning practice balls when scheduled

Ensure property and its amenities are secured daily

Perform related duties as assigned by General Manager
