Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a delivery driver in Illinois to pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers and pickups for returns. The role includes promoting sales, collecting credit accounts and cross-selling products to raise average transaction value.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and strong English communication. This position may require lifting 50–100 pounds and working varied hours including weekends.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Speak and write English; Spanish a plus.
Able to perform physical tasks up to 50–100 pounds.
Automotive parts experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
Pick up returns and cores.
Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
Daily collection of credit accounts.
Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing CPP insights.
Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot.
General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts.
Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
Cross trained to be a front-of-store Salesperson as well.
