Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Carthage, NC is seeking a Driver to pick, stage and deliver parts to pro customers, handle returns, and promote sales and loyalty programs. You will engage with customers to understand needs and upsell suitable parts while maintaining storefront cleanliness and stock accuracy.

The role requires a valid driver's license, basic math skills, and the ability to read safety documents; prior automotive parts experience is a plus. Flexible schedule with weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and manuals
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide for all units
• Confidence in engaging customers and promoting products
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques
• Automotive parts experience is preferred

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned
