Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. is seeking a delivery driver to safely pick, stage and deliver parts to pro customers and to assist with daily store operations. You will also handle returns, drive loyalty programs, and build strong customer relationships while promoting cross-sell opportunities.

Qualifications include a valid license, English proficiency, basic math, and flexibility to work a varied schedule. Automotive parts experience is preferred, with strong emphasis on safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Speak and write English (Spanish a plus).
• Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs and procedure manuals.
• Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings and weekends as needed.
• Willing to learn about new products and sales techniques.
• Prior automotive parts experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts.
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
• Other duties as assigned.
