Job summary

Advance Auto Parts in Tinley Park, IL is seeking a delivery associate to pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers and to pick up returns and cores. You will drop off sales flyers and promote loyalty programs, while collecting credit accounts and building relationships with major pro customers.

You will help upsell and cross-sell products to raise transaction value, keep the store clean, stock inventory, and assist walk-in customers with their parts needs.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Automotive parts experience is preferred.
• Read and interpret safety rules, catalogs and procedures.
• Able to work days, evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers.
• Pick up returns and cores.
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs.
• Daily collection of credit accounts.
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers.
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value.
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot.
• General stocking including truck stocking and back stock.
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales.
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services.
• Other duties as assigned.
