The Apex Grille at M1 Concourse's X Center in Pontiac, Michigan is building its opening culinary team. We seek cooks who care about the craft, sharp mise en place, clean stations, and quality ingredients to help establish the culture of a brand-new restaurant from Day One.

As the X Center Apex Grille Cook, you will prepare and execute menu items safely and efficiently, maintain an organized workstation, and support a premium guest experience through disciplined preparation and dependable

Qualifications

• Experience on grill, sauté, fry, pantry/garde manger or prep is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute menu items consistently and safely.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and sanitary workstation.
• Follow food-safety standards and rotate products properly.
• Communicate clearly with expeditor and team about tickets and allergies.
• Set up station before service and verify items meet quality standards.
• Maintain FIFO, proper labeling, dating and storage of products.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (grills, fryers, ovens, ranges, slicers, mixers).
• Assist neighboring stations during peak periods.
