Job summary

The Apex Grille at M1 Concourse's X Center in Pontiac, Michigan is seeking a dependable Utility Associate to maintain a continuous supply of clean serviceware, cookware and utensils while supporting dish and back‑of‑house operations.

You will operate a commercial warewashing machine, follow sanitation procedures and help manage waste and recycling. Training is provided; join the team to help us deliver a premium guest experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial warewashing equipment and ensure air-dry of items.
• Maintain clean, sanitary dish area and back-of-house spaces.
• Receive, stock and organize supplies; support culinary and service teams.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, prevent contamination, sort and store dishes.
• Dispose of waste properly and maintain designated waste areas.
• Conduct opening/transition/closing checklists per policies and safety rules.
• Handle chemicals safely, report spills promptly and follow SDS guidance.
• Inspect cleaned items and rewash as needed; ensure floors and drains are safe.
• Maintain organized, clean kitchen surfaces, racks and equipment exteriors.
• Operate dish machine safely and replenish items to service locations.
• Set up dish area before service and ensure all tools are ready.
• Sort, rinse and wash dishes using appropriate methods; monitor sanitizer.
