Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PRN Radiologic (X-Ray) Technologist for our South Florida facilities. This per-diem role requires producing diagnostic images, supporting licensed physicians, and adapting to coverage needs across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates hold ARRT, state license if required, and CPR/BLS/ACLS as applicable. Flexible scheduling and patient-centered care are emphasized within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ARRT (R) certification is required.
• State license, if applicable, required.
• CPR/BLS/ACLS as applicable.
• Valid driver's license, as applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational, multi-tasking and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic exams as ordered.
• Demonstrate competency with differing X-ray equipment and communicate with staff.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA and data protections.
• Operate EMR, PACS and DICOM systems for image sharing and interpretation.
• Train and orient new technologists and patient coordinators as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
