Job summary

CareNow, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking an X-ray Technician / Medical Assistant PRN in Texas. You will support providers and nursing staff with vital signs, history, EKGs, labs, and front-desk duties. This role requires an LMRT license, relevant radiologic and medical assistant training, and flexibility to cover PRN shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Services program.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) preferred.
• LMRT license in state of residency.
• 1+ year of clinical patient care experience is beneficial.
• Ability to obtain BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Must obtain Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, patient history, collect lab specimens and EKGs.
• Assist with front desk duties, check-in/out patients and end-of-day procedures.
• Maintain exam room cleanliness and prepare supplies.
• Keep records and logs of in-house lab work and external lab results.
• Assist Centre Manager and staff to ensure smooth operations and high patient satisfaction.
