Job summary

CareNow urgent care, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an X-ray Tech/Medical Assistant to support patient imaging and clinical care. You will take vital signs, perform EKGs, injections, and imaging per physician orders, while updating charts and maintaining accurate records in the EHR.

Qualified candidates have at least 1 year of patient-care experience, a state license (GMRT/LMRT/NCT), and BLS with prompt certification readiness. A sign-on bonus may be offered and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of clinical experience in a patient care setting.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program (BOTP) or equivalent.
• GMRT/LMRT/NCT license in state of residency.
• AAMA certification preferred.
• BLS certification within 30 days of start.
• Federal Breath Alcohol Screening and Federal Drug Screening certifications within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs, collect labs, perform EKGs, and administer IM injections.
• Perform x-ray/imaging services according to provider orders and update patient charts.
• Collect patient history and document in the EHR.
• Apply splints, dressings and bandages as needed.
• Assist with check-in/check-out and audit charts.
• Maintain records for in-house and out-sourced lab work.
• Keep patients informed of clinic progress.
