Job summary

Akumin Inc. is seeking a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams at our South Florida facilities, including Plantation, Sunrise, and Davie. You will obtain high-quality images, communicate findings to physicians, and adapt to per-diem coverage with at least one shift per 30 days.

The role requires ARRT( S) or ARDMS certification if available, CPR/BLS, and 1-2 years of ultrasound experience. Local travel between sites and strong patient care skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred.
• 1-2 years ultrasound experience recommended.
• Certification through ARRT (S) or ARDMS/CCI preferred.
• CPR/BLS required; ACLS where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams and obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
• Identify normal and abnormal findings and communicate summaries to physicians.
• Maintain HIPAA privacy and comply with company policies.
• Train or orient new technologists as needed.
• Remain flexible to cover shifts across South Florida facilities.
