Job summary

Akumin seeks a PRN Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic ultrasound exams across Texas locations, including Irving. You will acquire high-quality images, interpret results for physicians, and maintain HIPAA compliance while flexibly covering per-diem shifts.

Responsibilities include operating EMR, PACS, and DICOM, communicating findings clearly, and training new technologists as needed. 1–2 years ultrasound experience and ARRT(S) or ARDMS certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Minimum ARRT (S) or ARDMS certification.
• Valid state driver’s license, as applicable.
• CPR Certification, BLS from AHA or ARC; ACLS where applicable.
• 1–2 years ultrasound experience.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer applications.
• Local travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams per physician orders.
• Ensure high-quality images and accurate documentation.
• Operate EMR, PACS, and DICOM systems.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
• Communicate findings to physicians and radiologists.
• Assist licensed practitioners and train new staff as needed.
• Cover shifts for absences and vacations; per-diem availability.
• Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
