Job summary

Alpine Surgery Center in Anchorage, Alaska, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks a PRN Surgical Tech to support the operating room under the direction of a Registered Nurse. You will scrub and assist the surgeon, prepare the sterile field, maintain asepsis, and help turnover between cases.

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred; BCLS certification required; one year OR experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program (preferred).
• One year experience in an operating room setting (preferred).
• Valid BCLS Certification upon employment; online certification not acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing the operative suite by gathering supplies, equipment and instruments.
• Maintain surgical asepsis in handling instruments, sponges, sutures, drains and dressings.
• Assist in turnover of OR suites between cases and ensure clean environment.
