Job summary

Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK is seeking Associate Anesthesia Technicians to support the Anesthesia and Nursing teams in the Operating Room. These positions handle equipment, decontaminate gear, restock supplies, and assist during crises under direct supervision.

Qualifications

• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association required at hire.
• External candidates must have one year clinical experience in a hospital or equivalent.
• Internal candidates must have equivalent competencies of an Operating Room Assistant II.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision the OR Anesthesia Assistants provide general support to Anesthesia and Nursing staff in the Operating Room.
• Handle equipment and supplies, clean and decontaminate anesthesia equipment, and restock supplies and medications.
• Assist anesthesiologists by processing anesthesia instruments and supporting during crisis situations.
