Physician's Surgery Center of Chattanooga is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse to join our outpatient surgical team. As a PRN RN, you will work with our surgical staff to provide high-quality perioperative care, education, and support to patients and their families throughout the surgical journey.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of perioperative or surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients upon arrival to the surgery center.
• Administer pre-operative medications and ensure patient readiness for surgery.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes or concerns during surgery.
• Assist the surgical team during procedures and maintain a sterile field.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor recovery, and manage pain control.
• Educate patients and their families on post-operative instructions and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and fellow healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Ensure infection control protocols and safety standards are followed.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
