Job summary

Physician's Surgery Center of Chattanooga is seeking a compassionate PRN Registered Nurse to support outpatient surgical care. You will work with the surgical team to provide high-quality care and education to patients and families throughout the surgical journey.

Key duties include triaging patients, administering pre-operative meds, monitoring vital signs, assisting during procedures, and delivering post-operative care with strong emphasis on patient safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Tennessee RN license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a surgical or perioperative setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients on arrival to the surgery center.
• Administer pre-operative medications and ensure patient readiness.
• Monitor vital signs and respond to changes during surgery.
• Assist the surgical team and maintain a sterile field.
• Provide post-operative care, monitor recovery, and manage pain.
• Educate patients and families on post-op instructions and follow-up.
