Job summary

Life Care Centers of America is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide direct rehab care in speech therapy for patients referred by physicians, following all applicable laws and Life Care standards.

Qualifications include MS/MA in SLP, ASHA CCC-SLP or CFY eligibility, active state licensure, CPR certification, and strong communication skills. New grads welcome; 1 year experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP).
• ASHA certified (CCC-SLP) OR eligible for CFY to earn ASHA credentialing.
• Currently registered/licensed in applicable State and maintain licensure.
• One year experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current.

Responsibilities

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate.
• Liaisons with patients, families, and staff to plan for patient needs.
• Possess the ability to make independent decisions when warranted.
• Knowledge of post-acute care regulations and Life Care standards.
• Implement and interpret department policies and procedures.
• Maintain confidentiality of information and ensure patient rights and safety.
