Job summary

HCA Florida Oak Hill Hospital in Brooksville, FL seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) PRN to join a collaborative rehabilitation team. You will assess and treat speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders, guiding patients toward meaningful communication and safer swallowing in a well-supported clinical environment.

Responsibilities include evaluating patients, creating and adjusting treatment plans, documenting progress, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
• State of Florida Speech Language Pathologist license required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) awarded by the ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients’ speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans to support communication and safe swallowing.
• Document evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries accurately.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, strategies, and expected progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and rehab staff to coordinate care.
