HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (PRN) to support patients' communication, cognitive, and swallowing goals within a collaborative rehabilitation team. You will provide evidence-based care in a well-resourced environment, emphasizing clinical judgement and efficient workflows.

You will evaluate, treat, document, and educate patients and families, coordinating with physicians, nurses, and care managers to ensure smooth transitions and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for patient interactions.
• Proficient in SLP assessments and treatment planning.
• Ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses and rehab teams.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using assessments and observations.
• Developing and adjusting individualized treatment plans for communication and safe swallowing.
• Documenting evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries with accuracy.
• Educating patients and families on goals, safety, home strategies, and expected progress.
• Collaborating with physicians, nursing, rehab staff, and care managers to support coordinated care.
