Job summary

Park Highlands Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Per Diem Speech-Language Pathologist to join our in-house team delivering person-centered care. The SLP will assess swallowing and cognitive function, plan and implement individualized therapy, and educate residents and caregivers in a supportive, interdisciplinary setting.

Active TX SLP licensure and current ASHA Certification are required. New grads are welcome; flexible schedules and competitive compensation accompany this PRN

Qualifications

Active/Valid Texas license in Speech-Language Pathology.
Current ASHA Certification.
In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards.

Responsibilities

Evaluate residents' swallowing or cognitive deficits.
Assist residents in improving cognition or swallowing.
Educate residents and caregivers.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase independence.
Provide AAC systems for expressive and language disorders.
Train clients, families, and staff as a subject matter expert.
Coordinate diagnostics and collaborate with other professionals as ordered by physician.
Document billing and clinical notes accurately.
