Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse (PRN) to deliver high-quality post-operative care for surgical patients. You will manage airway support, monitor neurological and cardiac status, and respond to complications while coordinating with the surgical and anesthesia teams.

You will participate in on-call coverage for select non-business hours and engage with a supportive leadership and staffing resources to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• RN license required.
• BLS/CPR to be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• PACU experience required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care while applying evidence-based practices.
• Be an integral member of a dynamic interdisciplinary team with providers and therapy.
• Consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe nursing care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor, and document changes during shift.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up measures.
