Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Pearland is seeking a Registered Nurse for PRN opportunities in the perioperative setting. You will evaluate patients pre- and post-surgery, educate families, and ensure safety through verification processes.

The role emphasizes collaboration with surgeons, techs, and interdisciplinary teams. RNs must maintain BCLS and ACLS within 30 days of starting, with a degree (BSN or ADN) and Texas licensure.

Qualifications

• RN license required in Texas.
• ACLS and BCLS certifications required within 30 days of start date.
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients prior to surgery and monitor during perioperative period.
• Educate patients and families about procedures and recovery.
• Prepare patient for surgery including IV therapy and meds.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to emergencies and provide patient-centered care.
• Collaborate with surgeons, techs, and providers to optimize outcomes.
