Job summary

Corpus Christi Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Recovery for our Bay Area facility to provide high-quality care in the post-anesthesia setting. This PRN role supports our busy surgical services and values teamwork.

Qualified candidates will have an Accredited Nursing program graduate, Texas RN or compact license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least one year in a Recovery Room. BSN is preferred and we offer comprehensive benefits and career growth.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required.
• BSN is preferred.
• 1 year of clinical experience in a Recovery Room setting is required.
• Current RN License in Texas or Multi-State Compact License required; TX license within 90 days if on compact.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Care for and manage the surgical patient in the post-anesthesia period.

What You Will Do In Your Role:

• You will care for and manage the surgical patient in the post-anesthesia period.
• You will consistently apply the nursing process, critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, technical skills and leadership to independently deliver safe nursing care to patients.
• You will collaborate with the patient care team to achieve quality patient outcomes.
• You will provide communication, confidence, and professionalism as evidenced by active engagement in unit and organizational activities.
• You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the patient care team.
• You will have accountability for delivering quality nursing care services and for promoting a positive image of nursing.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required. BSN is preferred.
• 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in a Recovery Room setting is required.
• Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date). Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS Certification are required.
