Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Outpatient Infusion / Cancer Care Center. The role covers direct nursing care from admission to discharge in a cancer care setting, with emphasis on assessment, intervention, and coordination with the care team.

Requirements include ADN, KY RN licensure, BLS, ONS/chemo certs before orientation, and Oncology Certification within two years; Crisis Prevention within 6 months is also required. PRN; shift varies.

Qualifications

• ADN from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Kentucky.
• BLS within 90 days of hire.
• ONS and Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification required before orientation.
• Oncology Certified Nurse required within two years of hire.
• Crisis Prevention within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Plan, assess, intervene, and evaluate patient care with patient/family involvement.
• Review and document care provided, outcomes, and evaluations.
• Adhere to professional standards of care and evidence-based practices.
• Prioritize care based on changing assessment and patient needs.
• Maintain ongoing communication with physicians and other hospital departments.
