Job summary

Aperion Care in Park Ridge, IL is seeking an RN or LPN to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards as required by the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities include directing staff during shifts, admitting/transferring residents, charting, administering medications as ordered, coordinating with other departments, maintaining privacy, and supporting physician

Qualifications

• Current, unencumbered RN license or equivalent.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking and understanding English.
• Ability to make independent clinical decisions when required.
• Knowledge of nursing practices and applicable regulations in care facilities.
• CPR certification required.
• Long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan shift services.
• Admit, transfer and discharge residents; document care and reports.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered by physicians.
• Coordinate with inter-departmental staff to maintain nursing services and a calm environment.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality; ensure proper charting and documentation.
• Provide IV care and other procedures as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by DON.
