Job summary

Park Ridge Healthcare Center is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise nursing assistants. The role requires adherence to federal, state, and local standards and effective leadership on a busy shift.

You will ensure accurate charting, medication administration, and inter-department collaboration to maintain high-quality care.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in the applicable state; valid CPR certification.
• English reading/writing/speaking required.
• Ability to make independent decisions as situations warrant.
• Knowledge of nursing practices, and related laws and guidelines.
• LTC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistants and plan the shift's services.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents; provide leadership to unit staff.
• Complete and file charts and orders; transcribe physician orders.
• Prepare and administer medications as ordered.
• Maintain rapport with other departments to ensure quality nursing care.
• Provide nursing handoff reports and participate in rounds with physicians.
• Provide IV therapy and related site care as needed.
• Monitor safety and privacy; ensure proper equipment use.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
