Job summary

CHRISTUS Health seeks a skilled nurse to provide comprehensive patient care in our facility in Texas. The position requires documenting patient histories and care, and educating patients and families about learning needs and resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing, preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• RN License in state of employment or compact; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness of the treatment prescribed.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Educate patients, family members and/or caregivers; identify learning needs and resources.
• Delegate to other care providers to manage the clinical situation.
