CHRISTUS Health in Texarkana, TX is seeking a skilled registered nurse for PRN, per diem work to provide both routine and complex patient care using the nursing process. You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care while supporting long-range contingency planning in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include administering medications per protocol, documenting patient histories and treatments, and educating patients and families.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred
• 1 year of related nursing experience preferred
• BLS required; RN license in state of employment or compact

Responsabilités

• Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation).
• Administers medications and treatments per protocol; monitors for side-effects and effectiveness.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members and/or caregivers; identify issues and resources.
