The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care, collaboration with physicians and professionals, and adherence to evidence-based practices. A valid RN license and BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in the applicable state (Alabama).
• Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in direct patient care in hospital/clinical settings.
• Proficiency in wound care and infection prevention protocols.
• Familiarity with de-escalation and motivational interviewing techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care including triage, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and post-treatment care.
• Perform wound care management as ordered by the provider.
• Implement infection prevention and control protocols.
• Respond to emergencies as needed.
• Motivate and re-engage patients using de-escalation techniques and motivational interviewing.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and collaborate with the care team.
• Coordinate care with physicians and other health professionals.
• Accurately document patient information and maintain medical records.
• Adapt nursing approaches to meet individual patient needs.
