Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of RN experience.
• Graduate from accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and BLS certification required.
• May substitute LPN/MA or other unlicensed clinical experience for RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
• Collaborate with care coordinators to ensure smooth and effective transitions of care.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.

What You’ll Do

Requirements

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (Diploma, ADN, or BSN program)

Experience:

• One year of recent experience as an RN
• Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant, and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience for current Cleveland Clinic caregivers

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
