Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Stow, OH is seeking an RN for the Ambulatory Infusion Float role. You will provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, support cancer treatment journeys, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include nursing assessments, telephone triage, medication administration, CPR, and patient education. Travel within the region for clinics and procedures may be required; valid RN license and BLS are mandatory. Monday–Friday days.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN) required.
• One year of recent RN experience preferred.
• Current RN license and BLS certification required.
• Ability to travel within the region as needed.

About This Role

As an RN in the Ambulatory Infusion Float position at Cleveland Clinic, you will provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting, assisting patients through their cancer treatment journey. This role is ideal for compassionate nurses who excel in patient interaction and support.

Highlights

• Pay: $33.50 - $53.40/hour
• Location: Stow, OH
• Facility: Cleveland Clinic Akron General
• Schedule: Full-time, Day shift (Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)

What You'll Do

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
• Develop, evaluate, adapt, and document health education for patients and families.
• Cover other nursing roles within the department.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

Requirements

Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.

Experience:

• One year of recent experience as an RN required.
• Will consider LPN, Medical Assistant, and/or other unlicensed clinical healthcare experience in substitution of RN experience for current Cleveland Clinic caregivers.

Licenses & Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross required.
