Qualifications

• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or RRT.
• NBRC certification and/or CPFT preferred; AARC Office Spirometry Certificate also accepted.
• BLS/CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Perform spirometry and comprehensive pulmonary function tests (PFTs) per accepted protocols.
• Administer albuterol for post-bronchodilator PFT testing.
• Provide clear instructions to patients on preparing for and completing pulmonary function tests and educate on inhalers/nebulizers.
• Monitor patient comfort and equipment functionality during testing.
• Communicate with the Pulmonologist and care team as needed.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area and accurate records.
