Job summary

Roshal Health is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist in Corpus Christi, TX to perform spirometry and comprehensive pulmonary function testing.

The role focuses on accurate testing, patient education, and adherence to safety protocols while providing flexible scheduling. Candidates must hold current state licensure as an RRT or equivalent and BLS/CPR certification, with NBRC CPFT preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience performing spirometry testing.
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• NBRC certification and/or CPFT preferred; AARC Office Spirometry Certificate also accepted.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• BLS/CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform spirometry and comprehensive pulmonary function tests (PFTs), including pre- and post-bronchodilator testing, in accordance with accepted protocols.
• Administer albuterol for post-bronchodilator pulmonary function testing.
• Provide clear instructions to patients on preparing for and completing pulmonary function tests, and educate patients on the proper use of respiratory equipment such as inhalers and nebulizers.
• Monitor patient comfort and equipment functionality throughout testing.
• Communicate effectively with the Pulmonologist and care team as needed.
• Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area in compliance with client’s standards.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and files, as directed.
• Document work processes, as required.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
