Job summary

Roshal Imaging Services LLC in Oregon is seeking a PRN Respiratory Therapist to perform spirometry and comprehensive pulmonary function testing, including pre- and post-bronchodilator assessments.

The role emphasizes patient education, accurate testing, and collaboration with the care team; requires state RT/RRT licensure, NBRC/CPFT or AARC certificates, BLS/CPR, valid driver’s license, and the ability to work weekday shifts.

Qualifications

• Experience performing spirometry testing.
• Current state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• NBRC certification and/or CPFT certification and/or AARC Office Spirometry Certificate preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• BLS/CPR Certification.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Pass all necessary health requirements for hospital employment, including drug screen and background check.
• Comfort level with spirometry and pre‑ and post‑bronchodilator pulmonary function testing.
• Availability for occasional weekday shifts (no weekends).
• Ability to use mobile phone devices & applications.

Responsibilities

• Perform spirometry and comprehensive pulmonary function tests (PFTs), including pre‑ and post‑bronchodilator testing.
• Administer albuterol for post‑bronchodilator pulmonary function testing.
• Provide clear instructions to patients on preparing for and completing pulmonary function tests, and educate patients on the proper use of respiratory equipment such as inhalers and nebulizers.
• Monitor patient comfort and equipment functionality throughout testing.
• Communicate effectively with the Pulmonologist and care team as needed.
• Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
• Maintain a safe, clean work area in compliance with client’s standards.
• Maintain accurate records, reports and files, as directed.
• Document work processes, as required.
• Perform other duties, as assigned.
