Job summary

HCA Florida Bayonet Point Hospital in Hudson, FL, seeks a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to provide essential respiratory care across emergency, critical care, and acute settings. You will assess status, administer evidence-based therapies, and manage ventilators while partnering with a multidisciplinary team.

You’ll work with advanced respiratory technology and participate in ongoing professional development within a supportive, patient-centered environment that emphasizes safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP certifications within specified onboarding windows.
• RRT/RCP-State license or credentialed Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status through focused exams and interpretation of breath sounds to determine interventions.
• Deliver oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance and other therapies in ED, ICU, and acute care settings.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive and noninvasive ventilation and monitoring patient responses.
• Educate patients and families, collaborate with physicians and nurses, and assist with newborn stabilization when needed.
• Set up, operate, and maintain respiratory equipment and adhere to infection-prevention standards.
